A Texas City police officer at the center of a controversial and viral Buc-ee's traffic stop in April has been terminated following the investigation, according to the Texas City Police Department. Texas City Police Chief Landis Cravens said the decision was made after a thorough review of the circumstances on April 19. On September 1, 2023, in my first official act as Chief of Police, I have taken the action to indefinitely suspend (terminate) the employment of Scott Harrell, the officer involved in this incident.
