Jerome Karam, a Houston area property redeveloper, recently pulled off one of his biggest projects with the old Mall of the Mainland. Located in Texas City, Texas, the mall fell on hard times after thriving in the 1990s. Now, it's been reformed and renamed as Mainland City Centre. The impact on the community is impossible to ignore as people return to the shopping center. The Mall of the Mainland slowly died off over the last decade of its existence.
